KUCHING: Futsal fans in Kuching will have reasons to rejoice with the launching of Vikings Futsal Stadium equipped with grid court interlock flooring, which is an exclusive futsal flooring certified by international futsal bodies.
Known as the grid court star-flex indoor series, the flooring offers more safety as it is covered with a special layer of rubber which prevents injuries when a player falls to the ground. Approved and certified by three exclusive futsal associations, the Australian Futsal Association (AFA), Brazil Futsal Confederation (BFC) and the Chinese Football Association, Vikings Futsal Stadium offers four standard and one international level fields.
According to Vikings Futsal Stadium operation manager Awang Zaifulizan Abdul Rahman Awang Mohamed, the venue is the first futsal stadium under the Vikings Futsal Malaysia organisation, which looks into offering quality and world-class venue for futsal players.
“Apart from the courts, Vikings Futsal Stadium also offers a sports boutique offering Coneli brand, a pool table, confectionary section, changing room, prayer room and a meeting room,” informed Zaifulizan. He added that for added security, the stadium is equipped with a close circuit television (CCTV) camera and has ample parking lots for customers.
